About Us, the team
Currently, our organization is led by our co-founders, Jujhar Singh and Divneet Kaur.
Jujhar Singh is a Canadian student based in Kitchener, Ontario, who has been interested in engineering and environmental technology for years. By founding YCV, he wishes to create more of an impact on the world surrounding him and support other youth in building projects that have a meaningful benefit to society.
Divneet Kaur is a student based in Surrey, British Columbia. She founded YCV to help lead and support peers in their aspirations to create meaningful projects and expand their interests in fields with high-impact ventures.
Our Story
After witnessing many of the natural disasters occurring more frequently around the world, specifically the wildfires in Alberta and Western Ontario, and many of the solutions to climate-based problems created and built by students across the globe, our founders, Divneet Kaur and Jujhar Singh, started working on Youth Climate Ventures, an organization dedicated to supporting students in their ventures for environmental impact through numerous means, from supporting students through monetary and program grants, to improving youth awareness and innovation through events.
